Paul's Comment: So I'm about three quarters through Sarah Monette's Mélusine and, while enjoying it very much, I still have no clue how her time/calendar system works. Maybe I'm dumb or daft…or daftly dumb. Anyone care to enlighten me on this matter?
But it doesn't matter. What does matter is how much I'm liking Mildmay the Fox; he's sarcastic, bitter, and smart—all the characteristics of a great cat burglar. I look forward to reading his sections far more than those of Felix, who, for the most part so far, is a bit of a whiner. I know enough whiners in real life that I don't want to hang out with them in my fantasy worlds. Still, there's some interesting scenes with him, but it's mostly due to the others in the room. You know, lion-headed monsters. Mmm. Can't wait to finish up and move on to The Virtu.
Damon's Comment: I'm a noob. I have not read Sarah Monette. The fact that I can't add any good information to my comment on this cartoon makes me cry a little inside.
