Paul's Comment: So, even though it's for a good cause and all, I still find the idea that Neil Gaiman has his own cologne line a bit odd. Strikingly so. Generally when I think of authors I think of books, movies about their books, and wild orgies with sultry Swedish women. And in that order. The idea that there could be a cologne/perfume line out there based on their books or characters never really comes to mind. Let's play a game then and come up with some scents based on your favorite authors or books. Here's what I got so far:
Author/series: Cherie Priest and the Eden trilogy
Smells like: Old battlefields and Southern cooking
Possible name of line: Four and Twenty Blackbirds Balm or Wings to the Whiff
Author/series: George R.R. Martin and the Song of Ice and Fire series
Smells like: Dead people. And snow.
Possible name of line: Scent of Ice and Fire and Snow and Dead People. Stench of Tyrion.
Author/series: China Miéville and the Bas-Lag novels
Smells like: Putrid puss and burnt flesh. Possibly the ocean as well.
Possible name of line: Perdido Perfume. Redolence of the Remade. Aroma by Isaac.
What ones can you come up with?
Damon's Comment: A day late and a dollar short I am. Yoda I speak like. All I have to say is I love The Purple Ninja.
