Paul's Comment: Yup, a Harry Potter theme park is set to open at the Universal Orlando Resort, in Florida, in 2009. I doubt they'll actually let people ride hippogriffs (or thestrals, for that matter), but I still find it very interesting. Looks like Rowling will be raking in the money long after the movies come to an end. Can you blame her? I don't know. If she's got a lot of control of what happens, I think it's safe that her material will be treated well and not churned into some gimmicky poo-world where visitors that pre-order summer tickets get a shitty McShit stick of a wizarding wand. No, I haven't pre-ordered yet. But for the chance to punch a bunch of Snape-lookalikes in the nuts? I'd pay nearly $100 to do it, or at least $5 to watch others do it.
I am, however, fairly excited about the fifth movie and final book coming out soon. Oh so very soon...
Damon's Comment: I love Harry Potter, not in that gay love way, but in I really like the story way...I think. Anyway I will be there the first year this opens, that is a promise. Thanks to Paul for holding it down while I get whipped in poker, go on vacation, and otherwise get smacked down by work.
